8月30日。まず清川はファエンツァ（イタリア）で行われた国際陶磁器フェスティバル「Argillà Italia」へ参加。
清川は金継ぎ教室の生徒の方々とともに、講演、そして海外で初めて金継ぎ体験と作品展示会を行いました。

Kiyokawa, together with the students of the kintsugi class, gave a lecture, held a kintsugi workshop, and held an exhibition of their works.
9月4日からはベネチアの修復家養成学校IVBCで漆芸修復の講座を開講しました。
イタリア各地から集まった各分野の修復専門家を対象にした講座です。
漆や膠の特性や修復計画の立て方の解説、実際に練習用の木板を使った技術練習、そして国立ベネチア東洋美術館の所蔵品修復のケーススタディを並行して行いました。
He started a course on lacquer restoration in Venice.
This course was designed for restoration specialists in various fields from all over Italy.
The course included explanations of the characteristics of lacquer and glue and how to plan restoration, actual technical exercises using wooden boards for practice, and in parallel, case studies of the restoration of works from the collection of the National Museum of Oriental Art in Venice.
清川は、「優れた作品を後世に残すためには、今から取り組まなければならない。それには一人二人だけでなくもっと大勢の修復のできる専門家が必要だ」と、人材育成の緊急性と重要性を訴えました。
欧州ひいては日本や世界各国で修復の機運を高める、本講座はそんな最初の一歩となります。
Kiyokawa said, “In order to preserve outstanding works of art for future generations, we must start working on them now. We need more experts in restoration, not just one or two,” he said, stressing the urgency and importance of human resource development.
This course will be the first step in building momentum for restoration in Europe, Japan, and around the world.
9月9日には、日帰りでローマ・バチカンへ。
新しく就任された在バチカン日本大使館 千葉大使より昼食のご招待を受け懇談したのち、2年ぶりにバチカン美術館へ向かいました。

バチカン美術館では修復師の方々や、2022年に寄贈し今回正式に所蔵が決まった「馬香炉」と再開を果たしました。

9月14日。ヴェネチアを離れ、スイスのルガーノへ到着した清川。
ルガーノはヨーロッパ屈指のリゾート地です。この日は、ルガーノ文化博物館で金継ぎ体験を開催しました。

Lugano is one of the best resort areas in Europe. On this day, a kintsugi experience was held at the Lugano Museum of Culture.
翌15日からはフランス・パリへ移動。期間中、フランスの財団が芸術家を応援するために用意したレジデンスに滞在。フランスでは3日間、来年度以降の取り組みに向けて、現地で活躍する起業家やアーティスト、ギャラリスト達と商談を行いました。

イギリスでは、エンジェル地区にあるギャラリー「White Conduit Project」を拠点に活動します。こちらのギャラリーの地下エリアでは、清川先生の展示も行っています。

9月27日。フライトの遅延などのトラブルに見舞われながらもなんとか日本に帰ってきました。
これで１ヶ月以上におよぶヨーロッパ出張の幕が閉じました。
