Kintsugi Regular Class

In class, you can learn classical kintsugi restoration based on the various experiences by Hiro Kiyokawa using natural materials.
You can attend regularly scheduled classes at your own pace and learn beginner to advanced level techniques from our professional restorers.
The tools and materials used in the classroom are essentially made by Kyoto craftsmen, and you will learn more about Japanese culture through their tools and techniques.

Kyoto Class


This is a class held in Kyoto studio.
You can work in a quiet environment overlooking the east gate of Daitokuji Temple.


Date : Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Time : 10:00~11:30 / 13:00~14:30  90 minutes each lesson  *Only in the morning for Mondays.
Fee : 24,200 yen / every 4 lessons

Tokyo Class


Classes are held at a studio in Ochanomizu, which is convenient location.
The main teacher is Master Kiyokawa.
You will learn from Kiyokawa a depth of knowledge and vision that you cannot get anywhere else.


Date : Every other Friday, Saturday or Sunday monthly, Two lessons a month
Time : 10:00-16: 00 five hours * 60 minute lunch break
Fee : 198,000 yen *prepayment every 5 months, (10 classes in 5 months)

Admission guidance

Please register your membership first.
Membership entitles you not only to attend classes, but also to online services, discounts on merchandise sales, and the right to participate in events. Also, please purchase our original toolkit, which each item selected by Master Kiyokawa, to start your learning.

Membership fee: 5,000 JPY / every month
Kintsugi tool kit: 79,200 JPY

* The tool box contains a set of lacquer, brushes, gold powder, etc. necessary for basic kintsugi.
* Materials other than gold powder, such as silver powder and platinum powder, are available as options.
